The NetOSKAR project funded by EU Leonardo Da Vinci programme promotes the vocational training, learning and competence evaluation of seafarers with a knowledge development and assessment tool based on a database of multimedia questions.
The contents of the database are defined by STCW 95 (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) by International Maritime Organisation, IMO. As a result of the project the international network of experts from European maritime training institutes builds a database covering all relevant areas of STCW-95.
